ER Role Play
Business Challenge
The Department of Emergency Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital has set a new educational benchmark with the STRATUS Center for Medical Simulation and was in search of professional improv actors with communication skills coaching experience to play ER patients and then provide feedback to their clinicians.
Value Provided
STRATUS Center for Medical Simulation partnered with StageCoach Improv to provide clinical patient instructors and actors to further enable their ER simulation technology, medical education, and teamwork development with professional actors playing various ER patients to improve the quality and delivery of healthcare for clinicians at all levels.
The clinicians appreciated their increased awareness with respect to their communication skills and teamwork -- a rewarding and learning process for all participants!
